The Entity File

A collection of recorded canon, incomplete testimony, and recovered fiction concerning the intelligence behind the Trials. The catalogue is preserved as found. Minor damage in the transcription has not been corrected.

It has no single face, no mapped home, and no mercy that can be earned. Its Realm is assembled from memry, and its Trials are shaped to make emotion endure.

Recorded Canon

An Intelligence in the Fog

The Entity is understood through fragments. Some records are official. Some are early observations. Some remain interpretation. The Archive keeps those boundaries visible.

The Entity is an ancient force that reaches across worlds, taking Survivors and Killers into a Realm built for repeated Trials. It does not require death alone. It feeds through powerful emotion: hope, fear, rage, despair, devotion, and the impulse to kill.

The Black Fog is part of that process. Within it, memories and impressins can be made into places that feel familiar while remaining wrong.

The campfire, the Trial, the return, and the eventual discarding of exhausted remnants form a cycle that preserves suffering only while it remains useful.

The Cycle of the Trial

Seven stages repeatedly described across recovered accounts. Their sequence is preserved here as reference, not escape.

01

The Taking

A person vanishes into the Fog.

02

Campfire

Warmth between repetitions.

03

Trial

A place made from memory.

04

Offering

Emotion is gathered.

05

Return

Escape is not release.

06

Fading

The self is worn away.

07

The Void

The emptied are filed elsewhere.

The Entity does not fear escape. Escape allows hope to return.
